Purchased from Tropical Gardens Orchids in May 2020. Plant spent long time in shipping and arrived with rotted new growth. I got full refund for this plant from the vendor.
Amazingly the old backbulb produced me a new growth that is currently blooming with two spikes. Blooms are fragrant with soapy and spicy smell that is hard to describe.
There is an opinion that my plant looks more like cross of tenebrosum x expansum = Catasetum Black Knight. It is possible that it was mislabeled but I don’t know that for sure.
Plant grows happily potted into clay pot with sphagnum moss with abundant watering and fertilizing during growth period.
